Building Sustainable Livelihoods
Mother Lanka Foundation in partnership with the Industrial Development Board organized a workshop for the micro and small entrepreneurs working with Mother Sri Lanka in order to identify barriers blocking their growth.
Approximately 30 entrepreneurs from various industries ranging from handicrafts, clothing, food & beverage to personal care participated at the training with great enthusiasm. A prominent panel of speakers from Mother Sri Lanka, IDB and the USAID were the resource people at the workshop covering a range of topics from business registration, financial management, certification and sales and marketing.
The speakers who enriched the workshop and the panel discussion that followed were Dr Janaki Kuruppu, Prof Ananda Jayawardena, Mr Amrit Canagaretna and Mr Riaz Saban from Mother Lanka Foundation, Mr L S Nawarathne, Ms M U Gayani and Mr A Gunasekera from IDB and Ms D Seneviratne from USAID.
