Project Run- award ceremony 2021/22

MOTHER SRI LANKA Project RUN 2021-22 – AWARD CEREMONY

Project RUN, an acronym of three powerful components, Responsible Citizenship, Unity and National Pride is a unique concept where children were motivated and encouraged to design projects that helped uplift lives and enrich communities across the island.

Project RUN covers all twenty five districts in the island and MSL school clubs are established in schools that work in collaboration with us. In line with the themes of Project RUN, different projects were carried out by schools and those were examined by a panel of judges. Each and every project was monitored and evaluated by the judge panel subsequent to visits to relevant educational divisions. This evaluation is based on how well students have developed their skills and attitudes and build their leadership qualities at different phases of the project such as project planning, implementation, strategization and achieving the objectives etc.

In year 2021/22, around 150 schools have carried out Project RUN and out of them 75 schools participated for the provincial finals. 11 schools were selected as provincial winners while another 03 schools were selected as all island winners. Moreover, 02 special awards were also awarded thus, students and teachers from 13 winning schools were honored with gifts and certificates on 28.04.2023.
